Upcoming Events 2010 Lady of Quadalupe Prayer Vigil Kelowna Right to Life will be once again hosting the annual Our Lady of Quadalupe Prayer Vigil outside Kelowna General Hospital from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 11th. All are invited to attend this important prayer meeting calling upon God to end to the modern day, legalized practice of unborn child-killing in our nation and around the world. It is recorded that in 1531 a Mexican peasant by the name of Juan Diego saw a vision of a young girl on a hillside near Mexico City. The image later appeared on his apron (the Tilma) after he transported roses which had miraculously appeared at his feet to his bishop. To this day, the 478 year old tilma remains wonderfully preserved and displayed in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The appearance of the Lady of Guadalupe is widely credited with being the catalyst for the demise of the Aztec practice of human sacrifice and the establishment of the Church in Mexico.
